Söin annoksen:
Marinoituja tandoorikanan rintapaloja, inkivääriä, sipulia, chiliä ja paprikaa tulisesti maustetussa masalassa. Ruoka tarjoiltiin erikoisilta peltilautasilta ja sitä oli todella runsaasti. Mukana myös naan-leipää. Aivan liikaa pienen naisen tarpeeseen. Harmitti jättää niin paljon ruokaa, mutta kun ei jaksanut.
Palvelu pelasi paremmin englanniksi kuin suomeksi. Suosittelen tosi nälkäisille. Erikoista potkua ruoassa ei ollut mutta se oli maistuvaa. Juomat melko kalliita, olut ja siiderivalikoima melko suppea.

Hyvää ruokaa, mukava ystävällinen palvelu ja edullinen hinta. Maha tuli isollakin miehellä täyteen. Jos on jotain vähänkin monimutkaisempaa kysyttävää tai toivomuksia, niin kommunikointi kannattaa hoitaa ensisijaisesti englanniksi. Paikka kaipaisi kaipaisi lisää Nepalilaista tunnelmaa ja rekvisiittaa. Keittiön ovi ja ikkuna olivat likaisia ja vessatilat ovat aika karut, mutta itse ruoka siis erittäin hyvää.

Melko hyvää ruokaa, mutta mitään suurempia fiiliksiä ei paikka herättänyt. Paikka on myös melko kolkko verrattuna esim. tunnelmalliseen Nanda Deviin. Soveltunee paremmin lounasruokailuun kuin illanviettoon. Ei huono, mutta ei toisaalta myöskään mikään erikoinen!

Paikan fanittajat näemmä miinustelevat epämiellyttäviä kokemuksia saaneiden ihmisten arvostelut pois, mutta yritetään uudelleen.
Katmandun nepalilaisruoka on laimeaa, mausteet puuttuvat ja raaka-aineet tuntuvat pakastekamalta. Ympäristönä paikka on kuin työmaaruokala. Palvelu on ihan ystävällistä, mutta kulinaristisena kokemuksena Katmandu on kaikista käymistäni nepalilaisista peräpäästä.

Katmandu on iloinen yllätys, sillä ruoka on todella hyvää, sopivan mausteista ja annokset riittävän kokoisia. Hakkaa mennen tullen pääkaupunkiseudulla 15 v aikana tutuksi tulleet nepalilaisravintolat (Himalaja ja Satkar) ruuan laadussa. Harvoin saa yhtä hyvää kasvisruokaa, kuin mitä lounaslistalla on päivittäin (esim. tuorejuusto ja linssi-ruuat loistavia). Kana- ja lammasruuista myös iso +, vaikka mausteet välillä tuokin hien otsalle :-)
