Paikan keskeisyys varmaankin takaa osan kävijämäärästä - sinänsä ruoka ei ollut poikkeuksellista mutta kuitenkin ihan maittavaa. Palvelu tuntui hieman viipyilevältä - ainakin seuralaisistani jotka joutuivat kurkkimaan katsekontaktia mutta kaiken kaikkiaan ystävällistä ja asiallista. Mereneläväpasta olisi voinut olla raikkaampi - vaikka onhan se vaikeaa nojata --italialaiseen tapaan -- tuoreisiin ja laadukkaisiin raaka-aineisiin kun ei nuo mustekalat ja simupukat tuossa itämeressäkään elele. Paikallisiin raaka-aineisiin pohjautuvat annokset tuntuivat varmemmilta ja kokemus oli loppujen lopuksi miellyttävä.

Menu Sasso - oli ihan jees kokonaisuus, tosin se ei yllättänyt oikein mitenkään, mutta maut oli kohdillaan. Alkuruokana hauki oli mainio valinta ja menun parasta antia. Annokset oli melko isoja - vähemmälläkin olisi saanut itsensä kylläiseksi. Viinisuositukset ei kulkenut oman makuni kanssa käsikädessä mutta seuralaiseni arvosti... palvelu oli melko persoonatonta ja jäykähköä, sen petraus kohottaisi ravintolan tunnelmaa roimasti.

Sassossa vasta toistamiseen, vaikka viime kerran vasikasta jäikin kauniit muistot. Kiva paikkahan tuo. Tunnelmaltaan tyylikäs ja sopivasti hämyä. Vähän paremman väen paikka taitaa olla. Minäkin vähän lie urpolta näytin turkkien ja liityraitojen lomassa. En montaa vyölaukkua nähnyt.

Erinomaista palvelua koko illan. Ulko-ovelta alkaen miellyttävää ja rauhallista, vaikka varmaan viikon kiireisin ilta. Tervetullut olo kaikkinensa. Meitä palvelevan herrasmiehen juomasuositukset mallikkaat, juomien käsittely oppikirjasta ja tyyli lupsakka ja luonteva.

Ruokaa tuli pöytään alkuun varsin kovallakin vauhdilla. Loppua kohtia onneksi hieman jarrutettiin niin, että ehti lasitkin ruokain välissä tyhjentää. Aivan en kaikkia menun osiani ymmärtänyt. Suolattu hauki hyvä avaus. Tätä seurasi tattinen (isolla T:llä) kermakeitto, jossa härkämujua mukana. Keitto koostumukseltaan mainio. Harkähiput sen sijaan eivät oikein rutinaa tai makuakaan tuoneet. Kuivia kikkareita kielellä. Pääruoan polenta tuhdin makuisaa ja hyvää. Vieressä kananrinta, joka kypsyydeltään epätasainen. Ennen jälkiruokaa pöytään tuotiin viinimäskissä muhitettua juustoa, makeaa pähkinäleipää ja talon erikoista porkkanahilloketta, jossa vanilja-aromi mukana. Hassu kombo ja sai kulmat nousemaan. Vastapäätä jäi lautaselle. Jälkkärijäädykkeestä pidin taasen. Simppeliä ja hyvää. Aaltoilee.

Makuni ei tällä kertaa kaikilta osin kohdannut Sasson keittiötä. Ruoka ihan hyvää, mutta hintaan nähden odotukset ovat toki paljon korkeammalla. Paljon korkeammalla. Liki 70€ näihin eväisiin on liikaa. Toki koin kyllä, että ravintolan tyylikkyys, palvelu ja tunnelma vastasi hintaan paremmin.

Söin Mozarellasalaattia alkuruoaksi ja sinipallasta pääruoaksi. Annoksiin oli laitettu pestoa kastikkeeksi. Salaatin juusto oli hyvää. Ja kalanpala eh.. kaukana kotoa. Olisivat ostaneet vaikka kuhaa tai matikkaa Suomesta. No en tiedä... Eihän tämä ole hintansa väärti mitenkään. Laskuttavat sijainnista minun mielestäni.

Työlounas 24.10 klo 13.00, eteis- yms palvelu ok, pöytään ilman viivettä, alkuruokana paprikakeitto jossa vuohenjuustoa(?). Keitto haalea, aika mauton, juustoköntti jäänyt lämpiämättä. Uh.Pääruokana päivän kala, joka kanssa puuromaista risottoa, punajuurella värjättyä vihannessosetta joka oli maukasta. Kalassa aika etova paistinrasvan maku, eipä juuri muuta. Jälkiruokaa ei viitsinyt yrittää, tuplaespresso oli ok. Heikko esitys, Sasso vai olisiko parempi nimi Sössö?
