Some reviews I've read suggest that this is a decent place, if a little overpriced. That isn't what I found. By Helsinki standards this is a fairly cheap place to eat. However that is where the good points end. One of the nice things about Indian food is that it spans the territory between cheap fast food and truly great cuisine. I wasn't expecting the latter here but I was hoping for something resembling the typical British local Tandoori house, i.e. somewhere that provides honest Indian food using traditional ingredients, even if the quality of those ingredients is less than the very best and they lack a top-class chef. This place is nothing of the sort. I ordered the Chicken Makhani. If you appreciate pieces of overcooked chicken (that, I can forgive) drenched in what tasted like Heinz Tomato Ketchup with a dollop of over-sweetened cream-substitute blended into it then this is the place for you. In fairness, the naan bread and the rice which came with it were fine. Generally the quality of food on offer in Helsinki is pretty good. This is the sole exception so far. I certainly will not be returning to the Pikku Nepal
Not bad.
I ordered the ribs as a starter and they were pretty good. My only complaint here was that where I come from ribs are eaten with your fingers, and they didn't provide a finger bowl.
For the main course I had the old standby, Chicken and cashew nuts. This was fine, if a little bland. The addition of a little soy sauce and a little chilli sauce (provided on the table) made it an acceptable meal. From my experience this isn't Chinese food at its best - but it's not bad.
Pretty good. Disappointing that the bread they serve with the Tzatziki isn't Pitta but just regular sliced bread. Apart from that it was a decent if unspectacular Greek meal and I would probably eat here again.
A bit pricey but very nice food, well cooked and presented. I'd go again - in fact I have been again a couple of times.
