Kitzens used to be a restaurant called Pääkontori which I always considered as a must place to eat or visit as a tourist considering its classic décor and history. I was at first in great doubt when I heard that major renovations took place. They, however, manage to conserve its historical impressiveness with added current modern design and some cool tech.

As you enter the premises, you are welcomed by an easy going host and then you are given a tablet computer used as an interactive menu. The menu is divided in 5 worlds to make sure that you find something that will excite your taste buds. My tactile skilled selected the starter from street food Asia to South Pacific main course. The spring rolls were excellent, crispy-crackly skin filled with fresh mix including Portobello mushroom, the other one had some of my favourite crayfish. Then I spoiled myself with the seafood platter as a main course, it was very enjoyable I just wish it would have more.

I finished my experience in the 7blings lounge bar to have a cocktail “dessert” called Push the Glutton. At first glance, your mind says that some of those items should not go together, well it was surprisingly good.

The combination of tech and deco of this restaurant makes it ahead if its kind, yet unpretentious.
