Nästan genuint belgisk, hemtrevlig och lite lagom sliten miljö. Soppan som ingår i lunchen är som vanligt utmärkt. Maten god husmanskost. Salladen god och frisk men lite fantasifattig. Kaffet av mera finsk än belgisk standard. Jag fortsätter äta lunch ibland på Belge.

A good, casual, thoroughly average spot to pop into for a bite if you're in the middle of downtown. A note: Belge does not take reservations, so if they don't have any tables exactly when you want it, don't bother waiting for one - there are plenty of other restaurants of the same calibre within a stone's throw. With a better than average selection of beers and a fairly odd wine list, Belge serves up the hot & greasy in a fairly speedy amount of time for a sit down restaurant. I had the mixed fried bits and pieces for a started and the goat cheese salad as a main, eith creme brulee as a dessert. Nothing stood out about it, then again I didn't find anything surprising in the dishes either.

Kirjastobaari saa kiitettävän ja bistro välttävän. Ruoka ihan ok ja syötävää, viinivalikoima juuri mitään sanomaton. Palvelu keskinkertaista.

Maistelin simpukoita pitkästä aikaan eikä taas pettänyt. Sinisimpukat normandian tapaan pekoni oli oikeen hyvä pikantti maku simpukkapataan, paikka rupee olee remontin kourissa yläkerta menny kyl tosi pimeäksi

Rauhallinen paikka missä voi lounaan yhteydessä keskustella. Lounaaseen kuuluu yleensä hyvä keitto ja kahvi, joka valitettavasti maistuu hyvin suomalaiselta.

Pretty annoying experience!
My girlfriend and I went to Belge for dinner. The "welcome": the maître told us to wait (there were free tables) and instead of asking if we wished to have a drink, he sent us to pay the wardrobe (I am not Finnish, but this is the very first time I am asked to pay wardarobe at the restaurant)! We went to seat to the table they indicated us but that was not set, we had to wait and ask also for the menus. As we were in a hurry before going to the cinema, we ordered really fast. We asked for Belgian potatoes (but we got plain frozen chips), Caesar salad and Butifarra sausages...all of them with extremely fatty and nauseating dressings.
The waiters were kind, the maître should look for another job. At the end, I can recommend only the movie: Shutter Island.

Palvelu ei kertakaikkiaan toimi ravintolan puolella, ei ammtattitaitoista eikä kovin ystävällistäkään. Pari kertaa olen käynyt ja JOKA kerta jäänyt palvelusta huono maku.

Etukäteen suhtauduin Belgeen ruokapaikkana vähän epäilevästi (pidin sitä lähinnä baarina), mutta osoittautui positiiviseksi yllätykseksi. Olin vain hiukan nälkäinen kyseisessä vaiheessa iltaa, joten jätin pääruoan väliin ja tilasin vain talon belgialaiset perunat ja jälkiruoaksi vohvelia jäätelöllä. Etenkin perunat olivat herkullisia, ja lisäksi annokset olivat juuri sopivan kokoisia ja saapuivat eteeni oikeilla hetkillä. Ainakin meidän kohdallamme oikein osaava, huomaavainen ja ystävällinen palvelu. Pieni miinus narikkamaksusta ruokailijoille.
