A vernissage of Finnish lake motif paintings, this is how good, art can taste.
The Lake Forest surprises with smoked eel and an eel sorbet!, it worked, the roasted pine seeds did complement to a fullness in taste.
Lake Flowers:
In the drink package I especially liked this drink, pink grape + bergamot, something I could order in a bar.
The dish was superb. The trout actually shocked me a bit, such fantastic texture and flavor, together with two kinds of cauliflower.
Lake Reeds a pleasantly dominant duck cannelloni in duck broth.
The Lake View offered the most enhancing drink, Apple + chive + basil, alone very tasty but it really helped the dish of braised perch and dill gnocchis.
Lake Sauna comes with a rather odd drink it tastes just like the experience of a smoke sauna, very cool and much better than the idea sounds.
This dish is food for Kings, I expected the side of pork (36h) to just fall into pieces when I put my fork in it, but it didn’t, it was surprisingly firm and then it just melts in your mouth. Combined with cabbage, soft and crispy at the same time. My favourite of the 7.
Time for dessert, Lake Sunset, I’m slightly ashamed to admit that this dessert made me moan a bit. Licorice mousse, licorice ice cream, small drops of lemon crème and licorice fudge. Too much licorice you may think, but don’t worry, this is a perfectly balanced dessert. The first time I have encountered a sponge cake that made a dessert lighter.
In the Lake Moonlight we were presented with chocolate mousse and varieties of raspberry, nice, light and sweet. I thought that the long after taste of the drink was identical to the whole flavor of the dessert.
I can highly recommend this experience.
An amazing archipelago tour through 7 dishes offering amazing experience for your palate, nose and eyes.
Among the three starters the Call of the Sea; beach onion, aspargus and herb flavoured pannacotta, was my abolute favourite.
The two main courses; light smoked whitefish and lamb file (with nettles!), stood on equally high ground.
And then came the desserts; wild strawberries with caramel, which I was certain would be the high point until the second one arrived. Sea-buckthorn and liquorice served on a plate made of black slate.
Folks, it doesn't get better than this. If you enjoy good food, then this is one the absolute best places to experience it.
An absolute wonderful "walk through the forest", the full walk 8 amazing courses.
This one you must experience.
The birch tree bark (!) dish and the forest lake dish stands out in my memory.
