Excellent, fresh food. Have eaten there three times and enjoyed each one.

Recommend:
• the very authentic, handmade?, dumplings.
• If you like spicy: the beef in spicy oil (yes it's oily, but fantastic)
• The pork in lettuce wraps - very healthy tasting
• The seasonal vegetable - tonight they offered us our choice of real chinese broccoli (long, thin) or bok choy. It's sauteed with a little garlic and is fantastic.

Emmy is at its best when you order a few plates to share between friends, traditional Chinese style, rather than each person order their own, individual dish. (Just ask for serving spoons!). Dishes will come out a few at a time, and you eat some to many spoonfuls on rice in your own bowl. You'll get lots of different flavors as if you had a multi-course meal. If you order the traditional Finnish way you're more likely to be disappointed. You might get a huge dish (beef in hot oil would serve 4!) and the timing of the dishes will be off.

As others note, while very friendly, the service varies. The staff try hard, but can seem overwhelmed. Food can arrive slow to very slow. It all seems to be made by hand and perhaps by just one cook. Another reason to eat "family style". So, don't recommend for lunch, but do recommend this place for a leisurely dinner.

Also, a bit strange the staff don't speak Finnish, they should learn at least how to take basic drink orders in Finnish.

Despite these quirks, I highly recommend this place because the food is so excellent.

Depending on your choices you can get a great meal for 10-14€ pp (if you order 1-2 dishes and share). We usually order way too many dishes.

If your idea of Chinese food is deep fried springrolls and shrimp and a blob of meat doused in bad sauce - don't bother, go somewhere else. If you want fresh, tasty food with variety and authentic flavors, then make time to try this place!
